Having just completed a Six Million Dollar refurbishment, the 2026 National N Scale Convention will be he held at the Hopgood Theatre, Noarlunga Centre.
Immediately adjacent to the Colonnades shopping centre, and the TAFE SA Noarlunga Campus, the venue has recently been acquired by the Onkaparinga Council, and after many years of decline been given a major lifeline in the form of a $5M grant to acquire the venue, and a $6M grant for a full refurbishment to breathe new life into this wonderful community asset.
The venue is a short walk (400m approx.) from the Noarlunga Centre Railway Station on the Seaford Railway line, and has good connections to local busses, as well as ample parking nearby in the TAFE or shopping centre car parks.
The Convention will be utilising all available spaces, except for the main theatre itself, unless we have over 120 attendees.
We will be using the 120 seat small performance theatre – for our major gatherings and for some clinics and workshops – as well as several large rehearsal/green rooms and dressing room spaces for clinics and workshops.
The Foyer will be our main hub for layouts, traders and catering,
with an onsite bar that we are negotiating to be open for lunch and afternoon tea.
Both upstairs and downstairs areas will be utilised, but don’t worry, there is step free access to all areas, as well as disabled facilities in the main and backstage areas, and plenty of seating while you catch up with old friends.
